Interest Group Objectives
- Provide orientation to parents, direct support
professionals, and others regarding the annual TABA conference to
help these groups get the most from the conference.
- Help arrange end of the day gatherings after
each day of the TABA conference to discuss ideas presented during
the day, and to share networking information among the consumers
- Carry out an annual business meeting as part
of the TABA annual conference
- Develop links and information resources for
members of the SIG
- Develop resources to help consumers to
effectively access behavior services, to promote accountability, and
to advocate for these types of services.
- To work with the TABA Executive Committee to
incorporate parent and other consumer training into the annual
conference
