TABA Events Cool Stuff Members Consumers Communication

Consumer-Professional Special Interest Group Objectives

  • Provide orientation to parents, direct support professionals, and others regarding the annual TABA conference to help these groups get the most from the conference.
  • Help arrange end of the day gatherings after each day of the TABA conference to discuss ideas presented during the day, and to share networking information among the consumers
  • Carry out an annual business meeting as part of the TABA annual conference
  • Develop links and information resources for members of the SIG
  • Develop resources to help consumers to effectively access behavior services, to promote accountability, and to advocate for these types of services.
  • To work with the TABA Executive Committee to incorporate parent and other consumer training into the annual conference
